Pros

Lots of members Good start up information Gym keeps up with current trends Great place to start up and run your buisness overall

Cons

You will need to put up with .Not all but most management are failed PTs who are looking for an easy wage to sit in an office and take leads and clients for themselves. Not supportive to their team , only want their weekend shifts covered. Usually out of shape and can’t organise a class timetable. Overcrowded gyms which will bring down the level of service you deliver to your clients. Undercutting PTs Undercutting Managment 6am shifts , straight into 10pm closes so your sleep pattern will be shattered. If you are lucky enough to find a gym with good management you will be clear sailing with a successful and fun career. If not you are in for a headache. Your option is to pay full rent , but you will need to fight for the chance to do that. (They need the weekends covered)

Pros

The only “good” thing is the small percentage of new equipment and that some gyms are 24 hours.

Cons

Management is unfair, cutting hours and expecting a single worker to handle the entire gym. Incredible staff are undervalued, while third-party cleaners and side services pretend to solve problems they don’t. Members are chaotic, shifts are impossible, and yet leadership refuses to hire properly. Think smarter, not cheaper.
