Pros

RBC offers a strong corporate culture with a clear focus on integrity, diversity, and professional development. The work environment is generally supportive, and leadership emphasizes compliance and risk management, which creates stability. Compensation and benefits are competitive, and there are good internal mobility opportunities if you actively seek them out. The brand reputation also adds value to your career profile.

Cons

Like many large financial institutions, processes can be bureaucratic and slow-moving. Decision-making often requires multiple layers of approval. Workload can become heavy during peak periods, especially in client-facing or mortgage-related roles. Innovation sometimes takes longer to implement due to risk controls.

Pros

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Cons

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
