The company has gone downhill since the IBM acquisition, specifically after the original executive team left. Red Hat is now just a “business unit”. They’re not even pretending to hold RHT apart as a separate company anymore. The only goal is to generate as much profit for IBM as possible. All of the thought and industry leadership that Red Hat provided for the open source community is gone. Red Hat is a dying culture. It’s sad to watch.
