Pros
Pros The workforce contains many experienced and knowledgeable employees who are often willing to help and support each other. The job itself can provide valuable experience depending on your role and department.
Cons
The company culture appears to be heavily influenced by favouritism. If management view you positively, opportunities can be available, but if they take a dislike to you, career progression and development can become extremely difficult regardless of experience, performance, dedication, or length of service. Morale across the site is generally low, yet there seems to be a greater focus on ticking boxes and maintaining appearances than addressing the underlying issues affecting employees. While the company promotes itself as being supportive of mental health, my experience was that this support often felt superficial rather than meaningful when employees were genuinely struggling. Many supervisors and team leaders possess a better understanding of day-to-day operations than senior management. However, there often appears to be a reluctance to make decisions independently, with responsibility frequently being deferred upwards rather than problems being addressed directly. Overall, employee loyalty, experience, and commitment do not always seem to be recognised or rewarded appropriately.
