Pros

-Staff teamwork and attitude (especially on night shift) -Encourages staff internal certifications, advancement, and development -Structured VERY well and policies are followed accross the board at ALL the Sharp Health Care facilities, so you know what to expect with ANY situation -Continuity of care is apparent in the well managed structure and workflow of the unit (L&D/PACU/Triage)

Cons

-Pay is the LOWEST in San Diego even though the Sharp Hospital system is one of the LARGEST in San Diego -CURRENT LDR Management is VERY "play favorites" be prepared to WORK to move up if you are not the favorite of the Leads, AC's, and current LDR Manager -Night shift is invisible in the eyes of management, even though ALL the computer down times are at night, etc -Most Managers do not have their graduate degrees and some their undergraduate degree while MOST of the RN staff has at LEAST their BSN which, I feel, is incredibly unprofessional. Management should have at the minimum a BSN with a Masters in progress or attained. Management should not be less qualified than that of their staff that they are "managing." -Sharp Healthcare should pay for classes that they require as certifications for their healthcare staff, ie BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring...etc

Pros

Wonderful work environment and coworkers

Cons

I don’t focus on negative, just room for improvement. And I worked here in 2006 or 2007. Glassdoor didn’t give me the option to go back that far for when my employment ended. Just an FYI.
