    Advice to Management

None. Other than to comment that since leaving Sharp, I worked at another healthcare company and let's just say, you've set the bar high! I have since left that company and currently, working as a freelancer. Ive used what I have learned - exceptional quality of service and standards - from Sharp with everything that I do, professionally and personally. Thank you for the memories...the lessons...and foundation to which I nurture and grow from. All the best to everybody at Sharp! All the best Mr. Murphy with your upcoming retirement (I was still there when this was announced) -- who ever your replacement is, I hope that he/she has the same shoe size as you because they have some big shoes to fill. You will always be Sharp! I will always be Sharp!

I worked at Sharp HealthCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I had such great experiences at the main OR
Managers really tried to give you the schedule you want
Most of the staff really cares about their work ethic

    Cons

    Difficult and complicated cases
A few surgeons with bad attitudes/harsh

    Advice to Management

I had the best charge nurses at this OR and really miss working there. Not sure what I did wrong but when I called back 4 years later for a referral my most favorite charge nurse told me she wouldn't give me a referral and was kind of rude. Caught me off guard because I thought I had a great rapport with her and the other charges.

I worked at Sharp HealthCare full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, great management/support staff. I was there as a pharmacy resident, so while I was only there for 1 year, I can definitely see myself staying on board if offered a position.

    Cons

Not much to say. My only negative experiences have been with the HR department. I never really felt like I could get a hold of my HR rep or supervisor.

I worked at Sharp HealthCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Provide a lot of leadership training

    Cons

Departments work in silos and are out of touch at times with each others direction of plan or changes. upper management can be out of touch with staff. I had a manager that practice unethically to get desired outcome. He/She would under pay new hires based on experience to save on department budget. was really hard to get support from upper management with outlier staff.

    Advice to Management

I can only speak to the hospital I was employed at Sharp Grossmont practice what you preach.
