Pros

Flexible working policies. Depending on the team, opportunity to have an impact on UK and US markets. Friendly and approachable teams and work colleagues.

Cons

Lack of diversity and poor representation of minorities at the management level. Leaders do not inspire inspire nor do they wish to change the status quo. Problem has compounded over time as some of the long standing inspirational leaders have left. Low levels of motivation across the tech functions because of a lack of culture of innovation and a desire to push the envelope. Nepotism and favouritism thrive across ranks. The people function here is probably the least competent of all. Focus on frivolous matters. Little attention is paid towards hiring and actually getting talent through the door. Hiring managers struggle to fill roles for months while the people team pat themselves on the back after yet another engagement survey that serves to achieve nothing other than keeping them employed. Frequent reorgs do nothing other than to drive up attrition levels and drive down motivation levels. A culture of gossip and politics has started to creep in. Significant UK/US divide.

Pros

Great work life balance and vacation time....

Cons

Many internal issues and felt like this last round of layoffs was to protect inadequate leaders vs hardworking employees. I understand companies do layoffs but this just felt like Senior management trying to protect themselves because they aren't doing an effective job. I really think there are some issues with the leadership team and it probably needs an overhaul. There was never any strategy from product outside of one small area. The rest of the business was left without any guidance or support. I really think the US/UK shared services model does not work. The UK and US just are entirely different markets and the UK at the end of the day doesn't really care about the US nor move as quickly.
