I worked with TEKsystems and, based on my experience, the work environment felt highly political, where visibility and internal alliances often mattered more than capability or results. Some delivery managers appeared to lack the necessary technical depth and leadership maturity to guide teams effectively. Instead of supporting teams, there were situations where managers seemed more focused on safeguarding their own positions, even if that meant discouraging or demotivating others.
This created a culture where employees didn’t always feel supported or empowered, and genuine collaboration suffered. There are talented people in the organization, but leadership practices and the overall working culture need significant improvement for employees to feel valued, trusted, and motivated.Management often allows decisions to be driven by the opinions of 1-2 individuals, rather than encouraging broader input, collaboration, or diverse perspectives. This limits innovation, creates bias in decision-making, and prevents fair evaluation of ideas and performance.
