Pros

- Very extensive (roughly 12 weeks) training touching on the background of IT, our internal CRM tool, and our business delivery cycle. - Uncapped commission potential - Fun, energetic office - Autonomy to get your job done and operate as your own business - A large database of consultants who have already been placed or are familiar with TEKsystems, and roughly 80% of the IT workforce is in this system from across the U.S. ( Unfortunately the most recent upgrade they made to this system made this product worse and harder to navigate). - Happy hours, promotion parties, and team events to bring the office together.

Cons

- The attrition rate is abysmal throughout all career paths (recruiting, Account Management, and even Director level roles). It got to the point where it didn't even make sense to try to learn everybody's name because almost half wouldn't be there within the first year. - After I started, they switched the policy that you start as an hourly employee until reaching a certain commission level then you become salaried (please invest right off the bat in the people who make the company and higher-ups all their money). -Some employees and upper management are very nosy when it comes to taking personal, accrued time-off. - Senior employees are treated differently than newer ones such as the very minimal WFH policy of one day per week they just recently implemented. These certain employees must be at a specific tenure or commission level (this causes disdain from newer employees). - They believe Facetime is more important than having the ability/ comprehension to complete the job. - They tell everybody to help new recruiters as much as possible even though certain recruiters are paid a commission when these new recruiters get a placement. Unfortunately, the most senior/ oldest recruiter in our office who has this responsibility directly told some of the new recruiters (he's making money off of) not to listen to any of my advice because he personally doesn't like me. This is sad and contradictory to TEK's core values.

Teksystems have top rated clients in their radar and the recruiters are always ready to listen and try to give solution if there are any roadblocks as they render a comfortable platform to discuss anything regarding the contract.

Cons

pay range quoted is OK (medium ballpark) but unable to negotiate

Pros

- Decent pay to start. - Account manager is responsive, engaging, and a serious advocate for you and your contract. - Gain access to Udemy Business to build more skills.

Cons

- The benefits suck. - High recruiter turnover with highly variable experience trying to work with them-- some are good, most are not. - Once you are placed, you will be promised regular meetings and then never hear from the recruiter again. - Trying to find a new contract if you are unhappy with your current placement is nearly impossible and I don't believe they are incentivized to help you move at all. - You have to manually request a raise and depending on how you negotiated your contract, you may or may not have the ability to receive one. - There is a cap to how much they will pay you for the contract so even if you work that position 4 years, once you hit that cap you are stuck. I originally submitted my resume with TekSystems when I had finished my degree and never heard back. Many years later, I was approached on LinkedIn by a TekSystems recruiter for a position and he had no idea I was in the system previously. Working with him was good, and I did get the position. Then I never heard from him again and I've had 4 or 5 different recruiters whose names I could not tell you if I tried since then. There's supposed to be monthly calls, they never happen.
