Pros

-great company to gain experience that will help you in any corporate career -encourages self-development, feedback and personal and professional growth -straight forward documentation and tracking, one central recruiting system -great back end support/ very large company -culture of helpfulness. most people are great about sharing experiences and teaching on the fly. Constant feedback that shapes professionalism. Great way to learn. -for the most part they hire college graduates, so most of the people there are going straight from college to the "real world" and people are learning how to be professionals together and supporting each other which can lead to building awesome friendships that last a lifetime! - positive and upbeat environment with music, a gong, ping pong table, they want you to celebrate small wins -flexible work schedules (still expected to be on-site for 40hrs a week but you get to pick which 40) for those that are above growth line. - very social crowed and culture of support both professional and personally at points. Very close friendships in the office on all levels. - expense food regularly, try new restaurants - a lot of responsibility that will be a great learning experience and fun if you like a challenge and new hurdles to deal with every day. - great for an extrovert who enjoys getting to know new people daily

Cons

- extreme variables on how successful you will be depending on what account manager, skill set and industry you are aligned to support. you will likely not find out their plan/ what team you will be on for around a month after you start. - expect to work from 7:30am - 5:30pm - only 1-2 tenured recruiters in office and 1-2 tenured sales people - can feel like the blind leading the blind - must fire people and give consultants harsh feedback, walk them off-site in certain instances -pay recruiters 50k base after you hit salary. for most this takes anywhere from 4-8 months. while you are in this training period you make 12.25/hr. when you hit salary you make 50k and you commission is in tiers but you dont start making any commission until you "hit 8k" and the commission at that point will be somewhere around $10/a week. what I am saying is that the commission structure is not great for recruiters. - corporate made it harder to hit contest every year I was there - culture that does not respect pto and sick days, pto is frowned upon and request for pto is frequently denied. In my opinion, get in - get your experience - and if you get promoted into sales evaluate the territory they give you and negotiate for a better one if needed. If you are not in a fruitful spot - you will know it and my advice is to get out. They give the best accounts to the certain people and those people rise to the top. If you are one, great. If not, go recruit at any corporate tech company and go get yourself some work-life balance and double your salary.

Pros

- Decent pay to start. - Account manager is responsive, engaging, and a serious advocate for you and your contract. - Gain access to Udemy Business to build more skills.

Cons

- The benefits suck. - High recruiter turnover with highly variable experience trying to work with them-- some are good, most are not. - Once you are placed, you will be promised regular meetings and then never hear from the recruiter again. - Trying to find a new contract if you are unhappy with your current placement is nearly impossible and I don't believe they are incentivized to help you move at all. - You have to manually request a raise and depending on how you negotiated your contract, you may or may not have the ability to receive one. - There is a cap to how much they will pay you for the contract so even if you work that position 4 years, once you hit that cap you are stuck. I originally submitted my resume with TekSystems when I had finished my degree and never heard back. Many years later, I was approached on LinkedIn by a TekSystems recruiter for a position and he had no idea I was in the system previously. Working with him was good, and I did get the position. Then I never heard from him again and I've had 4 or 5 different recruiters whose names I could not tell you if I tried since then. There's supposed to be monthly calls, they never happen.
