Pros

The mission is crucial and the people are outstanding--talented, driven, funny and kind. The employees, many former teachers and principals, have a deep personal commitment to improving the public school experience for kids. It's a very flexible workplace, and employees have a lot of latitude over where and how they work as long as they get their work done. TNTP invests heavily in training managers and developing staff. And, since TNTP is hired by school systems, it's very nimble and responsive to the needs of educators, evolving rapidly to deep its impact.

Cons

A virtual workplace is not everyone's cup of tea. It takes longer to get to know your colleagues virtually, and it can be harder to shut off at the end of the day when you work from home. Because TNTP does so many different things and evolves so quickly, it can be hard to keep tabs on what's going on across the org. Management varies a bit by department, and getting a great manager can profoundly shape your experience.
