Pros

Good benefits besides health Insurance. Caregiver leave, 100% paid STD, flexible work hours, yearly raises and bonus, PTO comp days, and wayyyyy more perks.

Cons

Really hard to get hired outside of a contractor, in my position. Fast paced and daily changes to workflow. Lots and lots of training, CEs, and tons of SOPs with constant changes in compliance and regulations. Moving upward in your own department can be a little challenging but it’s very easy to move to a different department. Must have a college degree even though most of the job is taught upon hiring. However, a college degree is helpful for this type of work, it’s complex and advanced critical thinking skills are a must. Lots of cross department development and communication, this makes most changes difficult to implement and hard to adjust too, lots of cooks in the kitchen.

Pros

The Cigna Group overall is a fantastic company to work for! They invest in their employees and do a great job ensuring everyone, in all departments/locations/teams feel as if they matter with the multitude of perks they offer to employees. Many team members were knowledgeable, hardworking, and genuinely committed to supporting the healthcare industry.

Cons

While employed at Cigna healthcare, I experienced a work environment that often lacked consistent communication, balanced workload distribution, and transparent leadership practices. High-performing employees were frequently expected to absorb additional responsibilities without corresponding support, while shifting expectations and excessive micromanagement created unnecessary stress and instability. Over time, this impacted morale, trust within teams, and overall employee well-being.
