Pros

Dogs are allowed in the office. Free sodas and gym is OK if you are comfortable working out in front of everyone in the office since it is right by the entrance and is all glass. Macho culture if that is your thing. Just ask about the annual drinking trip that only the men in the office make to Lake Norris or to go deep sea spear fishing with Larry. They bring a marching band in to celebrate whenever they sell a property so that the people who work there that have now lost their jobs get a steak dinner and a bonus while they are forced to go find new jobs (non-compete required to be signed to work at The Connor Group).

Cons

Nothing is positive about this company. Fake people, they have a full recruiting team because turnover must exceed 50%. “Partners” don’t actually own real equity so that is a complete lie. They do all sorts of events to come across as not fake and have a partner wall with names written figuratively in pencil. Discount whatever they offer you as comp by totally excluding bonus. They set the goals so high as they are unattainable. Hardcore in office culture with a 1950s style “if butt isn’t in seat then you aren’t working” mentality. Larry and the rest of mgmt team do heavy doctoring on social media and public presence in order to skew perception that they are not ramping up rents massively on what are already pretty crappy properties. Do not believe anything they tell you and RUN do not walk away from these horrible people. Larry owns the entire company that actually makes the real money but they give out all of these rewards and have these fake events to make it seem like he’s sharing the wealth. He is not. "Partnership" is not actual partnership. Go google "Connor Group lawsuits" and enjoy your reading. They will have you sign onerous non-competes that basically exclude you from an entire industry.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we really do appreciate it. Unfortunately, other than the information you provided about our office dogs, there’s no truth or facts to your review. For starters, our partners are equity owners in The Connor Group. Every partner has an ownership stake in the company and receives a percentage of our property sales, refinances or supplementals. Our partnership program is very unique, but rest assured, our partners are owners. The culture is anything but misogynistic and fake. As a female and senior leader in our company, I can attest from my personal experience that we have a unique culture, and it’s one where people, no matter their background, color, sex, etc. can and do thrive. There are trips specifically for our men AND women every year. And yes, we do host events to celebrate property sales. They are not treated to a steak dinner and sent on their way. We value our people. We absolutely keep associates after selling a property and reassign them at other properties either within that same market or another across our portfolio. Our entire building is glass, so I’m sure why our gym would be any different. The list goes on… You are correct in the fact that we set high goals. These may seem impossible to others, but over the last 30 years we’ve learned the impossible is possible with the right people. We truly wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Fast-paced environment, strong compensation opportunities, talented teams, and a culture that rewards performance. If you are ambitious, competitive, and always want more, this could be the place for you.

Cons

The environment is demanding and not suited for everyone. Expectations are high, feedback is direct, and performance is closely measured. Employees who thrive on accountability, competition, and results will likely do well; those seeking a more traditional or less performance-driven workplace may find it is not the right fit.
