Pros
Next month marks 3 years for me at Two Sigma. There isn’t enough room to list all of the pros, but I would definitely start with the people. I can’t think of one person I’ve interacted with who wasn’t friendly, helpful and intelligent. Everyone is down to earth and approachable. The culture is genuine; Two Sigma isn’t the kind of company that just gives awesome perks to distract from a lacking culture. Two Sigma treats us well - in ways that make us feel valued and appreciated. The workload is diverse and challenging: there is never a boring day at work!
Cons
Working at Two Sigma is not for the faint of heart; this can either be a huge pro OR con depending on your goals. The work is challenging, the expectations are high, and the overall intensity never wavers. I find these all to be gigantic pros, but it’s not for everyone. Two Sigma challenges you to be your best self everyday and the rockstar people around you inspire you to welcome the challenge. If i’m being completely honest, I can’t think of any cons!
