Cons
I could not put into words how proud I was to represent USAA 3 years ago. Beyond dedicated to the company and their values of Respect, Empathy, and Ownership. Now, three years later, with a completely new executive leadership team, I am baffled at the companies culture. There is no Respect for employees, transparency is a thing of the past. Empathy? Leaders all the way up the chain know that the morale is at an all time low. Their response when we are defeated, working 45-50 hour weeks minim to try to reach their unrealistic standards is "If you don't like your job, maybe you should find another one." Ownership? When members are looking to us for help in one of the most overwhelming times in their lives, they are bounced around, if they are lucky enough to get any help at all. This is not how anyone should be treated. Let alone our military and their families. I am ashamed of what USAA has become. Benefits are only a reason to stay for so long.
