Pros
For traveling construction/service technicians the pay is decent when all the overtime and travel incentive are combined. However hours on construction sites range from 60 to 80 a week with only Sundays off. Benefits were completely paid for by Vestas until July of 2014. Now employees are required to pay into the system. Vacation time is good in terms of allotment (6 weeks) for travelers. Training is good and provided immediately and throughout career. Advice to a friend...Use them and Lose them. Good luck at beating management at this game.
Cons
Pay increases are very slow and do not match the type of work being undertaken. Advancement is minimal and is largely limited to those who do not have moral integrity or the ability to stand up for themselves and/or coworkers. Technical experts are largely uneducated and live in fear that they will be replaced if their knowledge is not kept secret from aspiring technicians. Do not expect to make a career with this company, the idea of disposable employees runs rampant from the headquarters to the service sites. The Vestas revolving door will continue until bankruptcy takes hold.
