Pros
Outside of IT, the WSP business has been extremely helpful and encouraging. As a young professional I still have a lot to learn, there have been multiple high-ranking employees of the Baltimore, Bethlehem, and New York offices who have taken me under their wing and mentored me. I would say WSP really looks out for the younger generation internally.
Cons
IT... as whole In my career in IT at WSP I've been "promoted" twice without an accompanying pay raise. The excuse has been "Lets revisit after a year" then after a year goes by there is some other excuse. This has also been the case for a few other IT Another problem is IT doesn't hold anyone accountable. There have been several employees who, despite committing egregious workplace errors, continue to be employed. At the Service Desk level, we've hired quite a few contractors which I assume is common these days. WSP is FLAT OUT LIEING to these poor kids, telling them the position is 6 month Contract to Hire which is completely untrue. The Service Desk will be completely outsourced on August 1st.
