Pros
There are some brilliant, talented and loyal people in this company. They do create some good products, and being a company of 200+ years, have a great reputation. Good life/work balance.
Cons
Wiley is a company trying to stay afloat in a dying industry. Constant emails fly around about redundancies which creates an atmosphere of panic. Those in sales and strategy parade their importance while the overworked "grunts" are essentially ignored. Those in sales and upper positions are rarely in the office, which leaves disenfranchised employees sitting in isolated cubicles with their headphones in. Zero on-boarding and very little support. Systems archaic and very slow to move, with a lot of hand-balling to the US as an excuse not to enact important system changes. Management so nervously focused on sales that they don't seem to have the time or care to support or develop anyone. It's a shame that Wiley is quickly losing some of its best people.
