The company claims to care about it's employees and loves to flaunt it's rating as one the 100 Greatest Places to Work, but it's all for show. They will work a department into the ground, mandatory OT including full Saturday shifts, all due to understaffing. The understaffing is due to the company refusing to hire temporary contractors to reduce the workload because they would have to let them go once things slowed down, and that would hurt their image. They care more about being perceived as a good company to work for than actually being a good company to their employees. The company will boast that they've had one of their most profitable years ever and then hand out raises less than cost of living. Pay is not competitive for the field. If you aren't a favorite of your supervisor, you re going to get bad raises and you're not going to move up in the company regardless of your experience, education, etc.
