Pros
- Great place to start to get some industry experience if you don't have any engineering experience - Great engineers that lead by example; most engineers are very experienced and I learned a lot from many of them; they are also very inclusive and friendly towards the new engineers (but put yourself out there) - Work/Life balance is not hard to manage when your hours are pretty consistent (assuming there are projects) - Flexible starting time (just be consistent; no flip-flopping) - 9/80 schedule (personal opinion)
Cons
- Inconsistent information at times when talking about client expectations - Unclear training program; If you don't mind learning on the go then this is for you, but be wary as you are working on drawings that may be used for construction - Office atmosphere (again this may be for you; this is a personal con) - Deadlines are too short which impedes the quality of the engineers - Stressful environment when trying to meet deadlines - Global company; you feel more dispensible
