Pros

There are very few Pros to working at Xerox. It paid the bills in this tough economy. The co-workers are generally helpful and kind as long as you avoid the few bad apples that are bound to show up in any workplace. There are a few good Leads(helpers) if you are lucky enough to have them around for your shift.

Cons

The system we supported was constantly down and there was little concern or support from management to give us the tools we needed to provide the service they hired us for. The time you are given to complete a call must have been cooked up by Ebenezer Scrooge himself. When things went wrong, all of the heat falls to the worker bees and we were just expected to adapt which means anything up to and including lying to the callers. There are no benefits if you are a contract worker so Xerox gets ZERO stars for this. That fact it is especially greedy and borderline evil because Xerox had the contract to provide health care support services for Nevada for the ACA. I say HAD because they lost the contract due to many of the problems with the system described here. If that is not bad enough, once you work through a long week dealing with irate callers, poor management, and broken systems, you are sometimes called upon to perform mandatory overtime so work life balance is not a priority to these people. If they would improve their work environment, they would be able to keep more workers for longer and wouldn't have to press those who haven't escaped yet into service on their off time. I would only recommend this job as a last resort, if you land it, expect to be paid about $14 an hour and do your best to look for another job.

Pros

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
