Pros
- Smart people - a bit more flexibility in terms of hours/travel than traditional consulting. Some people complain about work/life balance, but I don't think it is worse than any other consulting firm. - decent compensation (though the 401k plan is horrible) - they produce high quality work and have a strong name (though it is largely confined within one industry)
Cons
- expectations / dynamics seem to vary dramatically depending on which partner you work with - working with offshore team leads to lots of late night / early morning phone calls - rather limited variety of work (many of us work for the same clients/brands over and over again) - fractional staffing - you are on between 2-5 projects at a time. It is hard to devote full thought to any given project and there is rarely down time in between initiatives
