Pros

I had the opportunity to work with some great coworkers during my time – but many of them have had to leave the company You get the opportunity to work with customers from multiple industries – so the inherent variety will keep projects interesting Benefits used to be very subpar but since the MDP acquisition, they now offer parental leave and 401k matching, which is great

Cons

Upper management is very disconnected from the day to day operations. In the science org, teams were understaffed starting in 2021. In one instance, management reduced the number of employees in an already understaffed team with no reduction in work and no plans on how the reorg would affect the team and customers – everyone in the affected team has now left the company. VP of Science only focuses on product development and avoids managing the team – but also does not give any decision-making power to the science directors. So all science decisions are made by VP in a vacuum since they are so disconnected from the day to day. And when scientists inevitably leave, VP says things like ‘I have no idea what they were doing anyway’ – too arrogant to realize that not knowing what their team does reflects badly on themselves vs on the team members that left. Many SVPs, VPs, and Directors (mostly in science) are doing individual contributor work. This is a major reason for little to no management. Adult culture/ no micro-management is nice but zero actual management is also problematic. Across the company, there is A LOT of favoritism. Many folks are promoted based on favoritism vs leadership ability or competency. This has also led to many employees across the company leaving. There is also a massive discrepancy in pay between employees in the same team as well as across teams. Generally, it seems like technical people are paid less than project/program managers. It sounds like MDP’s HR team might be working to improve these discrepancies. Very little diversity in the company and very few women in leadership.

Pros

- New product vision and strategy that builds on history of artificial intelligence and solving specific use cases - Incredible culture of collaboration and kind people who like to solve problems - Huge vision for growth that challenges the status quo and is willing to take risks and make mistakes - Remote first environment allows for flexibility - So many things are changing and opportunities for growth. If you can figure out a solution you can go after it which is a career trajectory changing opportunity.

Cons

- There has been a lot of change in the transformation and periods where it has been unclear of the path. Uncertainty and fast paced environment isnt for everyone. - Remote first environment is a pro but can be a challenge when driving change because things can get lost in translation

Pros

Amazing team members Great marketing leadership Highly intelligent people

Cons

Company is in a rapid decline. Multiple layoffs since November 2025, no real grasp on strategy. Sales and marketing are on complete different pages - marketing is working the new product, sales doesn't want to sell it (which is what they've been measured on) Amazing marketing leadership, but stay far away until the company can figure out what's next.
