Pros

eVestment makes a lot of money.

Cons

-Culture : eVestment is very political. A very strict work environment working with a lot of bored/miserable people who are just there because evestment pays above market. -Career Advancement : Talent and hard work mean nothing. Golf with the CTO on a weekend and you'll get a promoted to senior software engineer. -Honesty : evestment works very hard to hide the fact that they bought several companies, promised there would be no layoffs, and then proceeded to fire everyone. They were extremely shady in communicating the mass firings to the rest of the company. To the point that some people didn't even know.

eVestment Response

We are appreciative of all reviews that are submitted to Glassdoor by current and former associates. This particular review certainly doesn’t reflect the overall consensus of opinion about our award winning company, and we remain confident in our hard-working and highly talented associates. eVestment strives to empower our teams and keeps our associates first in all we do, and our industry awards and national top workplace rankings are a testament to this focus. Our acquisitions in recent years as described in our public press releases have contributed to our successful overall growth strategies and have resulted in a robust product line to serve our clients effectively. As with all integrations, restructuring tends to occur that we have openly communicated. This restructuring is normally based on redundant functions or required skills necessary to contribute to the organization moving forward. Thanks again for the input and for the opportunity to respond. Director of Talent Acquisition eVestment

Pros

nice office space, private gym for employees, mostly good culture that allows for bleeding edge tech and pushes big ideas and ownership as part of the culture. Lots of promoting from within occurs.

Cons

There has been a lot of turn over in recent years as leadership changed hands. There is a lot more red tape than there used to be on the technology side. Salary wont stay competitive with new hires coming in. Expect people several years your junior to make more than you, you will get a song and dance about how they can't fix that problem without a promotion. Even though you are likely already doing the job the promotion would require.
