Pros
The main campus buildings are impressive and a significant investment toward creating a nice environment to work in. As a brand LEGO is recognizable to all generations. If you like bottom up planning (skills and experience optional) then it can be fascinating. The annual company picnic (play day) is a novel experience where the the entire company shuts down for a day so everyone can engage in play activities.
Cons
Your experience may depend heavily on where you work in the organisation. These comments are based on my experience and work in other organizations.. Those roles closer to the core missions will feel More connected than say the services that support the organizations. If you are a developer or involved in creative work they have a strong training ethos. That said they do not provide certification qualifications unless Your job demands it (such as an electrical Engineer). The limited training budget made meaningful development of Skills in the team challenging. Ways of working (culture, approach etc) can seem alien to those who origins are outside of Denmark. You decry skills and experience in favour of making things up; whether that is appropriate to an area or not. If you went to a doctor and they said “come back in a quarter when we’ve researched it” you wouldn’t feel safe; you would expect them to know.
