Pros

- Over the last 35 years, the company has assembled a collection of professionals with unique skill sets and areas of expertise. - Highly profitable EHS consultancy

Cons

- Toxic corporate culture: executives, HR and management condone unhealthy competition amongst peers, unprofessional behaviors, and favoritism. - Bizarre behind the back communication style. - Near non-existent work life balance. - Minimal 401K match - Personnel consistently work after hours and weekends....and it is expected. - Technology/innovation is limited and is primarily funded by clients - Limited executive commitment to organizational change and emerging business markets. - Executives value profits at the expense of junior personnel.

HQ is great, branches can be worst nightmare

Pros

Varying workloads with many different clients and scopes of work

Cons

They do not uphold the handbook. The handbook reads that you are entitled to cell phone stipend if you are in the field more than 50% of the time. Almost no one gets this benefit. You are entitled to year end reviews every year. You will be lucky to have a year end review every other year. If you complain to HR about the handbook not being followed you will need to accompany that email with a read receipt. If not it will be ignored, if HR responds you will receive an email saying that something will be done and will go through the process again a month later. You are entitled to a professional certification or licensing, to obtain this you must go through HR. HR will not make an attempt to help. You will be told there are opportunities for advancement and years will go by and you might see two co-workers get a level bump. Unfulfilled promises and a bad office environment at my specific branch are out of control.

Pros

Good general experience for someone new to the EH&S field. Not much else.

Cons

Anyone who has any real future or motivation has a tendency to leave this company as soon as possible. Those that remain for the most part are the dregs of the EH&S world. Low pay, low standards, long hours and a sample anything for a buck mentality.
