Pros

Great opportunity to increase experience and knowledge as a physiotherapist in multi setting aged care facilities. Broad role with elderly clients and workers within the industry from delivery of treatment, assessment and training of carers.

Cons

The organisation needs to improve its communication with its customers (aged care facilities) and its employees to enhance provision of its services. Overall, management is flexible and responsive to needs of its employees.

Dangerous to work for

Pros

As a head office/admin staff member it was great I got paid fortnightly with no issues.

Cons

BEWARE: This company is paying people within the business to write 5 star reviews. If you work on the ground, you have to rely on inexperienced team to ensure your hours are correct and added on. This was a very challenging environment given there's no work life balance as advertised or support, ALOT OF UNPAID OVERTIME, "management team" is very young and inexperienced, company is very toxic and has cliques. No policies to follow, No guidelines to follow, Nothing.

Pretty poor practices

Pros

Flexibility in rostering Average /above average pay Good travel benefits/inclusions

Cons

- it’s a lot of mind numbing pain management - Illegal/unethical practices (they make you sign off work you didn’t do - “there’s no such thing as a refusal!”) - you are expected to do whatever the aged care facility wants you to do and it completely devalues your clinical autonomy and opinion - As casual full time I would lose nearly all of my hours when they were intermittently well staffed but then they basically beg you to pick up shifts again when staffing is low. Despite wanting full time hours all along. They give priority to their cheapest workers and could not care less about loyalty or experience - the ‘managers’ are mostly inexperienced and useless - no real possibility of upward mobility unless you want to be a manager and basically just do pain management all day every day + managerial duties on top - they are secretive about pay grades and bonuses and inclusions etc - you cannot discuss salary with your colleagues - over the years they’ve corporatised so you’re always signing policies to absolve Encara of any responsibility and so it’s on you. - you pretty much have 0 support and usually no colleagues - feels like a faceless company nowadays
