Nice office. Clever and kind colleagues. Good if you are new to software engineering but has a scientific background.

Cons

Despite having ultra competent, creative and self-motivating employees who already write clean, documented and tested code, there are top-down, heavy-handed "guides" to micromanage exactly how code is written, sometimes detailed to the functions to be called. Tasks defined by technical leaders tend to focus on the how instead of the why. Between trust and control, the organization chooses control. Between autonomy and alignment, the organization chooses alignment. Between cross-pollination and standardization, the organization chooses standardization.
