Pros

Decent pay. Nice colleagues to work with. Good analysts.

Cons

UK sales team is in very bad place due to poor management, unrealistic expectations and a toxic leader. Don't believe the OTE as there was 0% quota attainment in UK team in 2023. Success is dependent on weather you are on the 'Favourites list' of the UK Sales leader (ie. If you were hired by him or are happy to praise him 24/7). If you make it on the favourites list you'll be given the best accounts, smaller targets and even free sales. Everyone else is given atrocious territory/accounts to work with and extremely high targets. They overhire without any plan or long term vision so have to slash headcount as soon as the going gets tough. The UK sales leader has been given absolute power and runs the sales team like he's a North Korean dictator - and because he failed so badly in 2023, he's now threatening to be even more 'prescriptive' than last year and will be 'micromanaging' a lot more (his words - no joke). He has even tried to make annual leave entitlement dependent on performance (which we're pretty sure is not legal). UK Sales Leader is beyond obsessed with Gartner and is trying to replicate their strategy (but very badly). He even uses Gartner slides in his sales meetings. UK sales Leader at times treats his sales team like verman and many agree that his behaviour is erratic and unstable. He can sometimes be nice but at other times be a bully. Morale is low amongst the sales team. The top leadership needs to be cleared out before they cut any more sales reps as their poor decision making and weak leadership is what has been drifting the company into the mud (not the curve!).

Pros

Ostensible good company values and culture. Good onboarding and training programs. Some very good analysts who are supportive in business development. The people who have been with the company for 5 years + are nice. Decent salary and commission plan for sales people and good employee benefits, The first 5 months in the company were very positive until a new European Sales Manager was hired from Gartner.

Cons

Very small company that is largely unknown and cannot compete with the larger firms. The CCO resigned in 2023 because his growth strategy failed. Toxic and hostile work environment in the European Sales team. The European sales manager displays an alarming and concerning level of negative behaviours in his management style which he brought from his experience at Gartner: - Instability in management style - Jekyll & Hyde from one minute to the next. Constantly using manipulative and lying tactics about team performance, manipulating data to fit a particular narrative, and constantly lies to secure personal achievements. - Controlling and Power-Mad Conduct. Frequent instances of bullying behavior where he employs tactics to intimidate and belittle team members. An excessive need for control and domination, has led to a stifling work atmosphere. This toxic work atmosphere has ruined team morale and contributes to a culture of fear and anxiety. - Micromanaging management style that stifles creativity and autonomy within the team including a ban on travel for events and client visits. This micromanaging limits the potential for innovation and hinders the professional growth of team members. The European Sales team has no trust or respect in his leadership. None of the European sales team hit their sales target in 2023 and many sales team members are looking for new jobs.
