Pros

Exact data is a great company to work for. Training tools are put in place to help you succeed and potentially make money. Management is extremely helpful and open to guiding you as your progress through the company.

Cons

Environment can be extremely competitive, but most people embrace it. Sometimes I over eat when free bagels and Popeyes are supplied.

Pros

It's pretty easy if you get the hang of it. Free bagels, coffee, and location. Full health benefits

Cons

Most of people that work there are scums and weird. A lot of the managers think they are Jordan Belfort and are better than you just because they make more money. The product your selling isn't that great. They treat their clients badly and their trainees worse. Do not work here.

Pros

I started my career at Exact Data and could not be more grateful for the opportunities given to me. I was hired with no sales experience but with aspirations of seeing if sales could be a good career path. The executive team gave me all the tools I could possibly need to be successful, and after three years of working there I have nothing but positive things to say. The hard truth about working at Exact Data is that it is an easy job. A lot of people will talk about how difficult sales can be, but the job requirements at Exact Data are minimal compared to other sales jobs. Exact Data is the perfect incubator for good sales people. If you have a modicum of potential to be good at sales, you have an incredible opportunity to grow at this company. The highlights of this job include the following… - Leads. Phone numbers of people who really submitted a request to buy the product are given to you daily. Building a sales pipeline with the consistent flow of daily leads is next to impossible. - Location. It is downtown, in the middle of everything, literally at the top of the stairs from the CTA Blue Line. - Healthcare. One of the best Healthcare programs a small company can offer. - Training Program. I went through one of the first iterations of the training program at Exact Data, and you could not have better people currently working in that department. - Advancement Opportunities. They are very real and available to anyone who works hard and cares about their job. There is no company where you have a better opportunity to become a Manager level employee as quickly as Exact Data. They value and cultivate talent. - Office. Music plays all day, there are ping pong tables, the CEO randomly buys donuts and gives away cool stuff, and the view out the 20’ windows is pretty awesome too. - People. The best thing about Exact Data are the people that work there. I could probably go on for far too long about this point, but the support staff and fellow account executives are among the best people I have ever had the privilege to work with. Talk to your fellow employees, they will become your best friends quicker than you can imagine. To summarize, if you want a short commute into work everyday to do an easy job, work with cool people, play ping pong once a day, and have full healthcare, all while building your skills as a salesperson and advancing in a company that is on the verge of becoming way bigger than even they realize, you should apply to work at Exact Data. I did, and I don’t regret a minute of my experience there.

Cons

Most of the employees at Exact Data serve in sales roles, and sales is not for everyone. If you work there for a few months and still think the job is difficult, I would encourage looking for another position. This job is meant to be easy, and the stress and low pay of not having the skillset to perform well at Exact Data is not worth it. Alternatively, if you think the job is easy after a few months of working there, you can make an absurd amount of money working for this company. It takes time, because they want to protect themselves from over-paying someone who got lucky a few months in a row, but there is real money to be made. Honestly, the worst part about working at Exact Data is the office gossip. If you can ignore it, power to you. You will be better off by ignoring people who complain or gossip endlessly. This will likely be a problem anywhere you work, but I definitely felt it more at Exact Data than previous jobs.

Pros

Daisy is the only thing that keeps people from quitting after 2 days.

Cons

I will say that I haven't found much to like about this company and so I have many negative things to say. As a prospective employee I will only say the things that you should know. This is a very bear bones company. Whatever money Larry is making is not reinvested into the office or the staff. This will become very clear when you go through the "training" because it provides you with no real information about the product or what the company is all about. You are expected to make 175 dials a day. Let me repeat that ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FIVE DIALS A DAY. I've worked at a handful of inside phone sales companies before and the expectation is closer to 60-80, which is reasonable. The only way you are even able to come close to that number is because the leads are worn out and cold. Most of the time you are being sent right to voicemail because they blocked Exact Datas number. There is no camaraderie among the staff and you will be treated only as a device to make dials instead of a person. The schedule is very rigid and you would see in your new hire handbook that the "breaks" are at 10am and 3pm. Funny thing is that management often says "break is cancelled" and you are not allowed to take 15 minutes. Seriously, let that sink in. If it's 9:56 am and you are looking forward to your 15 minute break to do whatever, they just up and say, "no, break is cancelled, stay on the phone" and for what? You're just trying to make Larry money. Have you ever had a job where you aren't allowed a 15 minute break? The company has no faith in their employees at all. Their objective is to work you until you either quit or get fired. The internal employee messaging is blocked unless you're a manager because they are worried about people talking to each other. This is a placeholder job until you find something better, period. Steer clear of this place at all costs unless you are in financial desperation. This place is a serious dump. I cannot express that anymore clearly. Stay the eff away from this absolute dumpster fire of a company. If you can do literally anything else, do that. And when you think about it you are basically selling other people's information to companies that are going to blow up their phones. Think about all those random telemarketing companies that call you about god knows what..Exact Data makes that possible. Even just typing all this out makes me frustrated. Also look up the CEO, he has a Wiki page "Larry P. Organ" the dude is a scam artist.

Pros

Nothing!! Seriously save yourself don’t even go to this company!! It’s a scam!

Cons

Do. It work here unless you are absolutely desperate for a job. You get paid a draw and that is all you make no matter how many sales you have. The owner is the worst person ever! If you don’t get sales in everyday they will write you up! You have to make over 50 calls or day or they will talk to you. The won’t even give you a laptop it’s a desk top. No training or help and there data sucks!! Worst place I have ever worked. Save yourself bot worth it at all. Larry the owner is a spaz and I don’t know how this company has stayed in business so long! All Larry wants is money in his pocket he doesn’t care about his employees at all!

Pros

If sexist behavior, pill popping, and criminal records are your thing, then join this prison bus located in the heart of Chicago, right next to the court houses so you can deal with your case and rob people on the phone. Never will you have an opportunity to witness what human trash the owners are. His accounting minions will keep all your money and the books they have, are meant not only to steal from clients, but steal from You. I am sure a class action lawsuit could be brought to this company with all the money they steal from their employees, especially when they are fired or leave. Consumerbase, how much money have you kept that is not yours, and I ask this question bearing in mind to subtract the amount stolen from companies when you fill their orders with absolute made up crap. They use Google and Nextmark to help facilitate their fraud. For the sake and future of our country, please have this company shut down and the owners locked away in Box somewhere.

Cons

There are not enough words to properly show all the Cons. CON is a great word though to describe this place.

Pros

You get really good at dialing a phone. If you want to learn the virtue of patience, this place is great to learn it, because believe me, even your "live" leads don't want to talk to you. Have fun leaving those voice mails 100-150 times a day! I would have given this company one star, however there are a few cool people in the office and like once every few months they buy a keg for the office on a Friday, if Larry (the CEO) feels like he can spare it.

Cons

You won't make a wage you can live on unless you literally don't have bills. The average salary listed on this site is a joke. The starting pay is more like $1200 a month. They take no interest in their employees, there is no such thing as commission here, and you're going to learn to absolutely hate your job by about the 3rd week out of training (if you make it that far, average life span of an employee is like a month). This place is a puppy mill, hire and fire, churn and burn, get a sale or get out. The product you sell is a joke, be ready to lie and do whatever it takes to close the deal. Why you should try closing deals is beyond me, you'll never be compensated for a single one. This fear fueled dial-a-palooza is a great way to earn some experience on your way to a real job, but I recommend you have a second gig on the side so you can keep your lights on. If you read a positive review on this site, just know it was paid for in the form of a Starbucks gift card. Management is so incompetent they can't even offer a bribe of REAL money. How there has not been a class action lawsuit against this criminal enterprise yet is baffling. Lastly, get ready to work in the most egregious metrics environment you've ever seen. What's more important, making 150 calls a day that mean absolutely nothing other than a mark in the CRM, or actually having valuable interactions with potential clients? If you guessed mindlessly dialing, YOU WIN! Do yourself a favor, and don't apply, don't accept the offer, don't become another number on their spreadsheet, because believe me, if you can breathe and you can talk, you'll get offered a job. How else will they fill the vacancies of the 5-10 people they fire each week? In summary, this is not a real job, they don't care about you, get ready for busy work, and just don't do this to yourself.

Pros

Reading these horrible reviews every time they pop up in my email notification. All companies have some negative reviews, but this company has to be at the top and this is the 2nd glassdoor account that's been made for this company LMAO. Leaving the company and walking past laughing everyday to my new job knowing I make more than the VPs and CRO

Cons

Managers. Executives would rather act like children and play than help Account Execs. make money and get better. None of the Executives have ever been in leadership roles before Exact Data, this goes from managers all the way to the President no wonder all their account executives are unhappy and at one point or another realize its a dead end job with no career. NO LEADERS just followers, who are content not hungry
