Pros

I have been employed with this organization for several years and each year I recommit myself as an employee. I have the ability to give input on the shape and direction of my department, my leadership team places an emphasis on work-life balance and the on-the job training is spot on. I feel that I am paid competitively for my experience and there are various incentives for strong on the job performance. I continue to learn about the industry as a whole and I am constantly given guidance on the strategy of the organization by senior leadership.

Cons

While I am a very happy employee it can be challenging at time when team resources are not there to meet operational goals. I can say however that my leadership team listens and responds in kind if/when this occurs.

Pros

Flexible schedule and a paycheck every two weeks

Cons

I’m convinced all the good reviews on GlassDoor for Exelon are writing by Exelon HR. Here is the truth: Pay inequality for women is common. Sexism is common. Unbelievable red tape to accomplish anything (IT, renewing contracts, etc). Management leaves with no replacement in sight and they leave the peons to do all their work for no compensation. Very high turnaround because everyone who comes in realizes this company is a mess and they get out while they can. No advancement unless it’s through brown nosing and nepotism. Company consistently disregards the talent and expertise of its low level employees and promotes inexperienced twits. Management across departments is known to promise full time positions to contractors and it never pans out.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value your input and would like to understand more so that we can make sure that Exelon is a great workplace for all of our employees. Please contact the 24 Hour Ethics hotline or your own HR representative to provide us with the opportunity to understand your concerns and make improvements wherever possible. In December 2016, we took the national Equal Pay Pledge to publicly declare a commitment to equal pay. We were pleased that the results of an independent third-party analysis of Exelon's pay practices showed no systemic pay differences between men and women in comparable jobs with similar levels of experience. That said, we will continue to identify and promote other opportunities – such as expanding our paid family leave policy and joining the United Nations Women's HeForShe campaign – to assist in closing the national gender wage gap and helping to ensure equitable treatment of all employees. Enhancing employee development is another critical focus area for our HR and Leadership teams. The recent transformation of our performance management process equips employees with more modern and simplified tools, processes, and technologies that are specifically designed to foster professional development and build an inclusive culture through real-time dialogue. We hope to have the opportunity to speak with you further.

Pros

I met some great people there, including the girl I'm engaged to

Cons

My fiancee left because she wasn't being paid fairly, and I'm out the door as of the end of the year as well due to low pay Upper management is extremely disconnected from the way things work in real life Some managers act like you should be so grateful to work there that you should work for free
