In December 2016, we took the national Equal Pay Pledge to publicly declare a commitment to equal pay. We were pleased that the results of an independent third-party analysis of Exelon's pay practices showed no systemic pay differences between men and women in comparable jobs with similar levels of experience. That said, we will continue to identify and promote other opportunities – such as expanding our paid family leave policy and joining the United Nations Women's HeForShe campaign – to assist in closing the national gender wage gap and helping to ensure equitable treatment of all employees. Enhancing employee development is another critical focus area for our HR and Leadership teams. The recent transformation of our performance management process equips employees with more modern and simplified tools, processes, and technologies that are specifically designed to foster professional development and build an inclusive culture through real-time dialogue.
