Pros

The work is interesting and constantly changing (never get bored!). There are always opportunities to learn and try new things. The people are amazing with lots of varied experience. Also though, they are genuinely kind, intelligent, scrappy, & driven individuals. It's an honor to have the opportunity to be exposed to so much talent.

Cons

There's definitely a lot of ambiguity here compared to a longer established company. The upside is that the maturity of the people helps cover for missing structure. However, in the long run, scaling up means also creating structure and process (which is going to be a series of trial and error). The only other con I can see is around managerial experience compared to a large company. Managers are often used to holding many hats and juggling them, so experience in delegating, communicating, and creating process can be a little foreign. That being said, they are also already working on continuing to educate their managers with regular managerial coaching sessions.

Pros

Great group of people! Everyone is hardworking, smart and enjoys coming to work. As a fast growing company there is a lot of opportunity to try new things. The office is beautiful and we utilize it for a lot of great team events.

Cons

Like any startup we are growing fast and often have to take a minute to slow down and re-discuss policies and how to scale.

Pros

Expa is the most exciting company I've ever worked with. The team is extremely bright, driven and engaged in our mission to build great products that improve people's lives. The company is a talent magnet and it's an honor to work with some of the brightest minds in San Francisco. The office is gorgeous and is buzzing with BUILD! I love my job :)

Cons

Working at Expa requires you to adapt quickly to the rapid rate of development; both development of products and companies. This isn't really a con, but more of a fair warning that if you want to work at Expa you will need to move fast, think fast, and get stuff done fast. Everyday is challenging but rewarding!
