Pros

Overall pretty good. 401K. Other teams, easy going and fun.

Cons

In a nutshell, staying in Webteam is way worse than being uncomfortable. It can change your personality and perfectionism if you are just outta from college or have not been guided by any mentors or supervisors previously. This is an 8:30 am -5:30 pm role. It will make you feel you have to work long hours or be frowned upon (at least the team lead SHOULD not fire you for it but he implies that you should stay longer to finish the reports he asked for or keeps you staying late to listen to his lecture). Even if I come in at 7:30 a.m. because I like to start early and avoid traffic I still get a knock if I'm not in my seat until 5:30,literally. It's the weirdest thing I've ever experienced in Silicon Valley as a salaried employee. BTW, other than the team, everyone in the company can WFH. Team lead. A micromanagement person, non-sensed detail-oriented , old-school one with a lecture personality. He never trusts team members. He never says hello to his team members bumping into each other in the company's public area, and no ‘how’s your weekend’ talk AT ALL. When you hear him talking, mostly like he is blaming someone in the team, other than those times, you will find the whole working area is zero talking among the team only typing sound left. When talking with other teams, he plays nice and sweet. People in other teams know the team morale and always throw us with pitiful eyes and suggest we start job hunting ASAP.

Pros

Co-workers from other departments are nice. Decent benefits.

Cons

Boss is narcissistic, hypocritical, and lacks self awareness. Takes zero accountability for actions. Emotionally and verbally abusive and totally unprofessional. Has Ben Shapiro style of arguing. Uses duress and gaslighting as part of manipulation tactics. Moves targets. Super passive aggressive. Watches Youtube all day while others do the work. Loves to micromanage. Too bad no HR. Company does not care about well-being of employees because Covid protocols were not met nor were handicap and medical leave. Management got ahead by stepping on backs of others but once the team left everything fell apart. Reviews are in shambles. Love to see it. Work environment is beyond toxic…it’s nuclear waste. No room for growth but promotions were dangled.

Pros

People are so willing to share and teach. Other team never gives us a hard time, at least for me. All other people are sincere, friendly and easy-going. I'm truly grateful to meet up with those geniuses in Exxact family. Good benefit with 401k match. Free snacks,OJ,yogurt ,cup noodles and decent FRIDAY BREAKFAST! We have strong holiday spirits, seasonal decoration, annual dinner and BBQ party, plus birthday celebrations!!( other than web team)

Cons

Technically when I’m composing this review, I am still an Exxact employee even though I have been notified to be on garden leave right in the next day after I submitted my resignation letter. Probably the company thinks I will be working with some competitors later so they had me hand in my badge and deactivated my slack account 15 mins later after telling me that it was my last working day in the office physically at 5:15pm. I don’t even have enough time to say goodbye to my other coworkers. However, I do appreciate the company fully paying the notice period and my PTO. There are some working experience I would like share , When I was in this team in my first couple weeks, I was asked if I agreed with the statement that I made the company lose money on paying my insurance and my paycheck because my category did not have enough margin( not negative). I just came in like less than one month, I don’t really sure how much I was expected to make for the team and to me, company needs to provide insurance is because ‘Businesses with 50 or more full-time equivalent (FTE) employees are required to offer health insurance coverage to their full-time employees (30+ hours per week) or they risk a penalty.’ I replied sth like 'I don’t want to answer this question’ ’I would like to plead the fifth '. It was my best answer could come up with at that moment. Of course, I might have a high possibility of hearing ‘let me rephrase ..’with the purpose of having me agree on making the company lose money, just in another way. I had zero compensation in the whole employment, and no bonus because we are told that we are eligible to have compensation based on sales performance and not entitled to have bonus at the same time. I joined in March and took the sales target starting from late-March /early April. No one talks to me on the sales goal throughout the whole year, but I have been ‘motivated’ by the target showing on every Monday morning meeting, Wednesday 1-on-1 meeting and Friday morning meeting. At the end of 2021, my category achieved the target and I was told it was due to industry shortage. I learnt my lesson, I should not have assumed I would be paid without asking and pursuing vigorously. Another rainy day with huge traffic on both 880 and 680. I arrived at 8:48am which was 18mins late. I was called out and asked why I did not slack the team lead ahead that I would be late for work. I should have better driving skills so that I could use my phone on the road and sneak away from highway patrol. I didn't know if I should leave after 5:48pm to make it up as a salaried employee, but I did stay longer that day just in case.
