      Strong emphasis on safety values. Historically strong job stability with competitive salary and benefits. Established systems, procedures, best practices, etc.

      Cons

      Early career development track is mostly predefined based on initial role and is fairly rigid. Skill broadening through roles outside of predefined/typical career map is very dependent on effort by direct supervisor/manager (who is relatively transient) or your own effort to network and push for something different.
