Pros

- Approachable and super likeable leadership; - Freedom to explore, sharing ideas; - Lots of playfulness and games (we actually play games together); - Offices in sunny Lisbon & Seville, but also Copenhagen, London, Malta. - Still in that stage of bold ideas matter and work!

Cons

- We are in a meta stage with lots of crossroads, when it's important to make the right turn. That may bring some uncertainty. All part of the process I'd say.

Pros

Good salary for entry level positions Remote friendly company Work at home allowance

Cons

- Nepotism between hiring decisions that are obvious from the outside teams looking in - Huge discrepancies between colleagues that can over double of someone’s salary without having more responsability or experience - Decision making focused on quick results with unrealistic ETAs that led to a shift in the company's OKRs in just a matter of days - The company went through a recent lay-off that involved at least 10 people from different teams with some managers not showing up to exit interviews and without giving any relevant feedback to their employees - The company has bi-weekly cocktail nights that were fun at first, but now is filled with people sharing their frustrations and demotivation about the current state of the company - Now the company is focused on two of their games spending several of the company's resources and ignoring good games in their catalog - Recently almost all the new hires for the HR team have decided to leave the company with reasoning connected to the lack of support and huge push back from their department head - The company's processes rely of several meetings throughout the day that carry on to more meetings to clarify the disagreements from the previous ones - There is no current internal process that allows employees to improve their soft and hard skills neither there is a employee's performance review process implemented

Pros

Good base compensation and opportunity to work with very some awesome studios.

Cons

My experience at FRVR has been deeply disheartening. The lack of career progression opportunities, combined with ineffective leadership, has resulted in immense frustration. It feels like 90% of the time, the work we put in goes unnoticed or unused, leaving us questioning the purpose of our efforts. However, the most dismaying aspect of my time at FRVR has been the toxic and harmful behavior exhibited by the founder. Unfortunately, it is not an isolated incident; nearly every colleague has had a truly negative experience with this individual. Their detrimental influence casts a shadow over the entire company, hindering morale and stifling growth.Regrettably, the HR department at FRVR fails to fulfill its purpose effectively. Rather than being a support system for employees, they seem solely focused on hiring, with no regard for addressing concerns or providing a platform for employees to be heard. Shockingly, they engage in unprofessional behaviour, trash-talking individuals within the company and sharing sensitive information—a breach of trust that undermines the integrity of the organisation. Furthermore, the company has undergone two rounds of layoffs within a year, leaving little confidence in its stability and future. The chance of further layoffs seems too real, adding an additional layer of uncertainty and anxiety. If you prioritise career growth and a healthy work environment, proceed with caution when considering FRVR. The lack of opportunities for advancement, toxic leadership, unreliable HR practices, and the recurring layoffs make it a challenging place to thrive professionally.
