Pros

The staff hired were all really nice, great camaraderie among the team.

Cons

Leadership team (c-level) was terrible in every aspect. No idea how to develop a product based on user needs. Communicate effectively to the business. Unable to commit to decisions made, because the leaders found features in other apps all the time they wanted to have in Fastic so direction would change continually at the drop of a hat Unethical practices for user experience - lying to users blatantly about being able to buy products on the app, lying about moderation within the internal Fastic app community. Was sold as a flexible work environment but what that really meant was you were expected to be flexible and reply to any email/slack message outside of your working hours and if you don't you are penalised.

Thank you very much for your time to write your review and to provide us with your perspective on your experience at Fastic. I’m sorry you felt that your experience at Fastic was not positive. Unfortunately, while the company grew exceptionally fast last year, we experienced some challenges and not everything went optimally. We have already implemented key improvements to tackle the potentials we identified. We are doing everything we can to make Fastic a first-class experience for both our users and employees. It is very important to me personally that every employee at Fastic can rely on the leadership and the management team. Commitment is one of our cultural principles and is an important pillar of functional teams, along with trust and the ability to deal with conflict, and the acceptance of responsibility. To ensure that our cultural principles are consistently adhered to, we put them at the forefront of all our feedback processes and have implemented regular structured & short feedback cycles. Our leadership and management are all enrolled on a leadership program and receive regular training and ongoing support from an external leadership and management training provider. I’d like to add that we are very excited about our new 10 year long-term strategy that is now in place. We have developed it based entirely on market research, customer feedback, and data. It specifically addresses the challenges our users have in developing a new, healthy lifestyle. As we implement our long-term strategy, we're making incremental adjustments based on new insights so at the same time we have a solid and reliable guideline that is aligned with Fastic's target audience. We strongly believe this approach will positively impact people’s wellbeing around the world. To improve clarity, understanding and motivation, we have implemented several measures to provide a clear view to our employees of what is coming up in Fastic in both the short and long term. It is very important to me that everyone in our team clearly understands what we are doing, why we are doing it and how. In regards to work-load, work-life-balance is important to us. We have introduced a number of new initiatives such as core meeting hours and no meetings Wednesday as well as added additional employee benefits to support with this such additional paid days off, co-working space budgets and access to therapy. We have just this week announced to the team the roll out of our mental health program where employees can access services and can also seek help with private issues, concerns about burnout and much more. On behalf of the Fastic team, I would like to thank you for your contribution to the Fastic vision. We wish you every success and only the best for your future career. Florian, CEO

Pros

- A fully remote company that gives you true freedom to work how you want organise yourself and your week. - The senior team are honest, open and approachable. They are always open to hear how we should improve and take the company to the next level. - I feel empowered to do my job and when there are times i am have any doubts, all it takes a short conversation with my team and manager to resolve this. - The company is aware that its difficult to stay connected as a fully remote business, so they plan to organise regular team trips to get us altogether. - I've never worked in a company that uses so few emails! It's a breathe of fresh air. - Processes are introduced when they are needed and not because everyone else does them. This is great for a PM as we can introduce what we need at the right time. Start simple and evolve over time to how best we work together.

Cons

- We can get into a habit of speaking 1:1 too much. This is especially problematic for a remote working company. In fairness, this has been recognised and more group slack channels are being created. But right now, communication and knowledge sharing could be improved - If you like a company that provides a solid structure with clear cut processes, this might not be the place for you. We work in chaos much of the time. I for one thrive in it (to a degree) but its not for everyone. Processes are gradually being put in place to handle key problems so we'll get there. - Sometimes i'm not sure if we're always working on the most important things to achieve our business goals. Thankfully, the senior management are open to hearing feedback and i do feel we are heard. - As a fully remote working business, we could probably do more to help people separate work from home life.

Thank-you for sharing, we will take onboard the constructive feedback you have shared. We really appreciate this and look to continually improve our methods of communication and working culture. As a fast scaling start up this is always a work in progress, processes can take a bit of time to catch up but with transparency and feedback like the above together we can get there. 🚀

Pros

- The people are quite nice, although they can't attract enough talent so decide to hire students.

Cons

- No progression or job structure - Management don't have a clue how to scale - No responsibility for previous cycle failures, instead they fire 80% of staff instead of C level taking a step down
