Pros

Its better than being unemployed.....but then again, no its not!

Cons

First thing: You can learn a lot about a company by how they respond to reviews, especially the bad ones. All the petty, condescending, snarky, and sarcastic remarks they respond with is a sign. Not only of the type of people you will be working with everyday but also of the type of people, attitudes and behavior that the management allows in their company. The leadership isn't even aware of how these responses makes the company look. Second: Eveything that the people in the previous bad reviews was true. They are cheap. They do use outdated and HIGHLY-inefficient processes and software. They do block practically any site besides Quickbase. You're only allowed to leave your desk at lunch time. The admin and the reps in billing departments are slow and incompetent and they are constantly making mistakes and messing up orders. I can't tell you how many times I got yelled at by a customer because they had messed something up. Jennifer does micro-manage, which explains why she is so all over the place and unorganized. The flex-time they speak of is a joke. They have mandatory company outings, which suck because again you are hanging out with a bunch of women with attitudes similar to the chick who replies to the bad reviews, and you're are not allowed to bring a plus one. It sucks to tell your spouse they aren't invited to the company christmas party. Third: If you are a person who likes efficiency and autonomy, you WILL hate this place. If you are a person who is customer-facing like I was, you WILL hate this place because you will be the person who has to deal with the upset customers because the people on your team are slow and they are always messing up something. Every day you will want to rip your hair out because this place is by far the worst place I have ever worked. I am not exaggerating and all of the people who left bad reviews before are not lying.

No Team Atmosphere for IT

Pros

Great for work hard play hard mentality.

Cons

Much overtime. Disorganized and using old technology. Frugal with their hardware budget. Expect their Admins to exist in a bubble with little interaction with their 'customers' (those users that work for the same company) Sr. Management has tasked certain individuals to 'spy' or monitor everyone's activities to report back to the VP, which generates an environment of mistrust and drudgery.

We totally agree that team building goes along way, which is why in just the last month FSS sponsored several team building/employee appreciation events including our annual Golf Outing, our annual Parking Lot BBQ, DQ Blizzard Day, and Spirit Day Friday. Up next…bowling league and annual Fall Potluck! We have 3 extremely busy Executives that don’t have the time to monitor 100+ Employee’s every move; nor do we have anyone working here with the title of VP either. We encourage our Team to get to know each other and work well with each other using a variety of communication tools to help with time management – it’s just as easy to pick up the phone or shoot an IM as it is to walk around till you find the person just to ask a simple question or provide a quick answer. Where we get involved and discourage too much interaction is when interaction is detrimental to the Company or the Employee(s) – wasted time equals a work day with very little productive work completed. We're sorry that the work hard play hard culture was not the right fit for you.

Pros

They pay on time. Health insurance benefits were descent. Can't really think about anything other pros here besides these two.

Cons

Master micro managers. They make you sign in and out for everything. If they could they would probably install card readers on bathrooms. The whole time working there we could have swore that the place is wired with microphones. We would get mysterious phone calls and email memos from management concerning things that were discussed in private between coworkers. Creepy.
