Pros

Easy work to be honest given they have no real goals.

Cons

The company is dead. They have minimal amount of runway left. Management has recently been pushing everyone to use AI, but they have no idea what they actually want people to do with it. Their suggestion was to just start using it and see how it helps. Seriously what does this even mean? The only thing management and sales does with AI is use it to interpret other people's words. They use it to gather slack threads and summarize it for their weekly eng-pulse reports. Then upper management asks AI to analyze these reports and provide feedback. This is a while cycle of nothing going on. A bunch of AI agents talking to one another and not doing any work. Then you have dev people who use AI for everything. Wasting money asking AI to create tools they never use and then having AI write a summary of what it does. NO ONE is going to use it. They're wasting money and tokens trying to be productive and getting no where. Maybe it's the industry, maybe it's the economy, but one thing is certain is that this company has no future. They've stalled a while back. They've deprecated networks and products only to try and bring them back because they really have no idea what else to do. I find it amazing that they'll let go half of all teams, but won't let go of their bros that have done nothing their entire time here. One persons entire job is to play music during meetings. The same entourage of people try and attend crypto conferences just to mingle. They'll fly allover the country to meet up with a handful of people to discuss things that can be done in 10 mins over Google meet. Waste of money. Waste of time. But hey, that's what happens when the entire executive team has been doing nothing for years and now the AI age comes and they still can't think of anything new.

Pros

My time at Figment has been a sharp learning curve. Although I am a crypto native, staking is in a field of its own. The company has been very supportive in my education and growth into my role, providing support and guidance to get me up to speed. Working across multiple timezones can be a challenge but the company does its best to bring everyone together. Its sometimes the little things that have a lasting impression, for example the unexpected goodie swag bag that turn up filled with awesome merch prior to my start date great to feel part of the team early on.

Cons

Working in a small teams spread out across the globe has its pros and cons. As a remote first company, If you need face to face interaction throughout the week this may be an issue. Expect to work across multiple timezones dependent on your role, which for me is not an issue.
