I have been working at FireEye full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you put in the work you'll get a lot back: flexible approach to work/life balance, career development opportunities etc. Lots of change in the leadership team in recent years but the new team are having a brilliant impact on the region. Exciting times ahead in the UK with the move to the new London office planned for early 2019!

    Cons

Most of the UK team take the option to split their time between home and the office - not for everyone so be aware of this if you prefer being in a busy office every day

I have been working at FireEye full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

After a rough couple of years the company has made some great new senior hires inc new EMEA VP who is a class act - driven, team oriented and proven. Impressive product set supported by the secret consulting sauce (mandiant) and top notch intel insight as core differentiators. Positive culture and without wishing to sound cheesy so far has delivered on potential to be a very compelling proposition and an enjoyable/fun place to work.

    Cons

Distributed workforce across most of the EMEA countries you'd expect means lots of empowerment (ie you need to be a good proactive communicator).

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring good people and rebuilding the environment to allow people to succeed.

    Pros

Well-balanced portfolio with cutting-edge technologis focusing on APTs or zero-day exploits. 6 product lines integrated into a real-time, cloud-based platform which provides prevention, detection and assists with remediation against sophisticated cyber threats. Services business unit consists of SOC facility handling APTs at prevention and detection phase and Mandiant consulting dealing with the cyber attacks at remediation stage as well as providing vulnerability assessment and pen. testing. Threat Intelligence business unit maps out adversaries and by following international APT groups on a global level enables stopping the cyber attacks at a prevention level. Dynamic environment, great team and high level of flexiblity and independance are combined with tough but achievable targets which are greatly rewarded.

    Cons

Fast growing in a highly competitive environment with a constunt evolution on a product/solution and technology side comes with its price tag. Sometimes operations and support are hanging in the back Those challenges are constantly monitored and addressed at all levels.

    Pros

Great solutions that provides a massive opportunity in the cyber security space. Strong customer base and loyal alliance partners. Not much more I can add here.

    Cons

It has the worst company culture imaginable. Middle management are the main culprits. There is inconsistency of market approach and a lot of "yes" people who cannot deliver. You cannot plan, strategise or execute anything and follow through as everyone has an opinion and therefore direction changes too easily. You just get nowhere. The attrition rate is so severe too and you have to ask yourself why that is.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company - a takeover will shake all of these problems and people out.
