Pros

No work hard and play hard culture, most employees do not work more than 35 h on a 40 h contract. If it does get done in time, management seems to just accept it.

Cons

-Company wants to be seen as a young and up and coming scale up, but it is not. Its over 7 years old and has not made any profit. Management is panicking and is visibly afraid before investor meetings. -Sales Management was backstabbed during their summer holidays and CEO changed the entire go to market strategy. Not long after that the VP of Sales left and got back filled by a CSM... -Absolutely unrealistic sales target. 50% turn over on the sales team in one year. -If contracts are being extended its always for the minimum amount of time( 7 months.) -One of the lowest salary bands in the industry. -Claims to give young employees a chance, but especially in sales only young and conventionally good look women are kept. (Sexism) - Colleagues that were known to be sexist, were kept on long after the fact and female colleagues were simply warned "to stay away from this person." -There is no team feeling, as there is an ingroup out group feeling. The expats are not being welcomed by the entirety of the Dutch native staff. -No pension payment, below average benefits. There is occasionally a fruit basket and drinks, but nothing to write home about. -While recruiting staff they massively overpromise, this is a company that is not profitable, nor successful. They are lacking a clear path for the future. This is a one product company that has not found its niece. -Trying to sell an unfinished product, development is too slow.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that your experience at Foleon has been unsatisfactory. It is important to us to hear what we are doing well and where we need to improve, so we appreciate the feedback. As you know, Foleon is growing quickly - transforming from a Dutch start-up to an International scale-up organization. This transformation requires a lot of change and also causes some growing pains, as you point out in your review. I want to address these concerns for you, as well as potential employees. We are aware of these growing pains and are actively addressing them. For example, we have hired experienced, international SaaS leaders with 20+ years of experience. In addition, we have launched a new strategy and product functionality, which is enabling us to exceed the goals we've set with our investors. In addition, the majority of our salespeople are also overachieving their targets, even during this stressful COVID period. Diversity, integrity and fairness are key to our culture. We currently have a ratio of 43/57 female/male ratio and are actively working to get this to 50/50. We are also continuing to increase the cultural diversity of our team as we grow - not only to address the needs of our international marketplace but to create a stronger team. We currently employee 20+ nationalities at Foleon. Most importantly, we do not tolerate harassment of any kind and any situation is dealt with immediately. Lastly, we have been evaluating our compensation and people development programs, which we realize need to keep pace with our growth, international expansion and move up-market. We do quarterly reviews with each employee, as well as employee engagement surveys. The overall employee satisfaction rates through both of these vehicles is well above average. I hope this information is useful and would be happy to discuss it further with you if that would be helpful. Daan CEO & Co-Founder

Pros

The product is actually alright - UI is clean and relatively user friendly. A few good colleagues here - more bad eggs than good though.

Cons

Company/Product: No innovation. Minimal product advancements. Not keeping up with competition. Very sad roadmap. Culture/Work life: Low pay for the industry. Zero respect. HR nightmare (for employees) - Seems like leadership and the people in the “know” can do and say whatever they like with no repercussions. Backstabbing. Racial and sexual remarks can be heard constantly. Benefits are really bad - super high premiums for medical and dental. They brag about giving you a $15 voucher each week for a meal… it’s NY, $15 is sad. Promotions for sales are a joke. Promises, that’s it, it’s just promises.

I’ll start by saying we’re sorry you had this experience while working at Foleon, if we were to judge by our overall reviews and our internal eNPS scores, this is not in line with the typical experience for a Foleon employee. The accusations of inappropriate sexual and racial remarks are quite serious and are not in line with our culture. They have also not been raised with our People & Culture team or Leadership at any point in the past year. If you’re still a Foleon employee, we would welcome a conversation about your experience at Foelon, as this feedback is not in line with the welcoming and inclusive environment we strive to provide to our team members. With respect to Foleon’s benefits, we can say this is simply not true, and we’re proud of the benefits we offer to our employees – which through our research of the market as well as candidate and employee feedback – we know are market-leading. We offer: - 4 Individual healthcare plans with a nationwide carrier (Aetna!) to all US employees where the employee premium is completely paid by Foleon! (that means the premium is $0!) - We also offer additional coverage for families – which is a new benefit introduced in April of this year. - A flexible spending account so our employees can save money on out of pocket health care expenses. - Top of the line Dental coverage where half the premium is paid by Foleon (Aetna or Metlife!). - 20 (!!!) days of paid vacation per year on top of 11 paid Federal Holidays including Juneteenth and Indigineous Peoples’ Day. - (Pretax) Commuter Benefits for our Hybrid Workers - 401K - Snacks for local employees, a snack allowance for remote employees, as well as a lunch voucher every Friday! It sounds like there’s some confusion about benefits here, we’re happy to talk about benefits with anyone – we’re really proud of what we offer our Foleon team members. Daan CEO & Co-Founder
