Pros

Good people, decent benefits, alcohol is available to numb the pain. Nostalgic bad business practices from decades ago are guaranteed to make each day an adventure.

Cons

Management from the top down is comically inept. More middle management than clients. No possibility of a long term career because most would lose their jobs if someone was paying enough attention. If the clients knew a fragment of the issues - there would be lawsuits flying and the company would cease to exist. Everyone knows how poorly the company is run except the CEO apparently. The smallest amount of scrutiny would reveal the chaotic and illogical operations of people who are in over their heads and have to fake their value to stay employed. The product has yet to be delivered and fully functional for any of the US sites. Internal tools and processes are less effective than going back to paper. Documentation is outdated at best and cost cutting extends to using external USB hard drives and disaster recovery is not a priority. And Security? What security? This is the house of 'password' as a password. The company boasts of an Open and Friendly environment but those words seem to have a different meaning in Auckland.

At Foster Moore, we have an open and friendly workplace and welcome feedback on our company's culture and best practices. We hold ourselves to high standards in executional excellence and personal accountability. We are all about our people, they are our greatest asset, and expect the same commitment from them to Foster Moore and our clients. It is critical that we have the right people in the right role and it sounds like we weren't the right match. Unfortunately, this review goes beyond expression of an honest opinion or truthful facts, as Glassdoor requests. It contains a few untruths, perhaps due to Foster Moore's acquisition of a former competitor company. In any event, our product is delivered and fully functional in 21 business registries internationally, 4 in US states/territories.

A Global Joke

Pros

As others have already stated - there were good people & hard workers.

Cons

US office was closed due to poor leadership, continuous failed implementations across multiple government entities and due to the fact that corporate wanted to falsely increase it's stock value to sell off shares to a foreign investor by hiding both capital & operating expense. Furthermore, this company preaches about openness, transparency and friendliness. However, they do not practice what they preach.

Our US office and team are still in place and are now completely focused on Catalyst implementation work to deliver and support major government projects in North America. We acknowledge we have had to make some hard decisions regarding our strategy in the US market, which has had a direct impact on our team and the great people we have. We have restructured our US Operation recently due to government procurement and budget delays. The focus of this restructure has centred around our technical delivery team for the Catalyst Registry Manager product and to leverage services from other offices through a global service delivery model. We are anticipating very positive growth globally in 2019 and we continue to be focused and excited about winning more clients and projects in the North American market.

Pros

No longer work there.

Cons

Corporate office did no oversight of management allowing rampant waste of funds and resources. When they stormed in and let all the inept office leader and staff go, they retained one of the worst managers who was allergic to work to try to rebuild. They closed shop with no severance despite people working nights, weekends and holidays trying to make right a substandard, non tested production product for Montana SOS.
