Pros

FounderNest is exactly the environment you expect for an early-stage SaaS company. It's fast-paced and everyone is looking to innovate and move forward. The team consistently encourages learning and professional development, making it an ideal environment for those driven by curiosity and growth. There is a high level of trust and autonomy too. You are empowered to take ownership of your projects and truly influence outcomes, which is both motivating and rewarding. The team is genuinely supportive and collaborative; colleagues are not only talented (some of the best talent I've worked with) but also enthusiastic about helping each other succeed, making the workplace feel energising and positive. Leadership values transparency and is genuinely receptive to new ideas, which creates a culture where employees feel both heard and appreciated for their contributions. If those ideas fail, then we fail fast. Every day brings fresh challenges and opportunities to see the direct impact of your work on the company’s trajectory, which keeps things exciting and fulfilling.

Cons

The pace at FounderNest can be intense, and those who are not proactive or adaptable may find it tough to keep up. It’s an environment best suited for self-starters who take responsibility for their work and thrive on new challenges.

Pros

Some colleagues are nice people, others are snakes

Cons

Avoid if you value autonomy, professional leadership, and constructive feedback. I was fired after approximately two weeks because I was allegedly "not a cultural fit." No specific performance concerns, measurable shortcomings, or meaningful explanation were provided. During my time there, I experienced a highly controlling management style where alternative opinions, sales approaches, or suggestions were often dismissed immediately. The expectation seemed to be strict adherence to a single way of working, regardless of results or individual experience. I also witnessed public criticism and shouting in the office that I found deeply unprofessional. Feedback was frequently delivered in a way that felt demoralizing rather than developmental. The atmosphere often felt tense, with many employees appearing concerned about job security. Turnover within the sales team seemed unusually high, especially considering the six-month probation period. Work-life balance was another major concern. There was significant pressure to accommodate calls across multiple time zones, and concerns about this were often dismissed as simply being part of "startup culture." Based on my experience, the leadership style and company culture made this one of the most disappointing professional experiences of my career.

Pros

I really like the people in the company and the company's values. You have the freedom of trying new things, and they encourage you to speak up and disagree even with senior leadership. It doesn't matter if you are junior; they want you to have a great impact

Cons

It's a startup, so it depends on what you want, these things can be a con or a pro: more responsibility from day 1; as the team is small, all you do has a lot of impact, you will navigate hard times
