Pros

Strong product, c suite very approachable

Cons

Managers have deeply ingrained biases, sales leads and opportunities are funnelled to their mates rather than fairly across the team. Hugely weighted towards some people while everyone else struggles. Company ackniwkedges this but refuses to address their biases. Recent reorg has introduced unattainable targets and the pressure is off the chart, people are working under duress of further layoffs - you could hear a pin drop in the office. No longer a happy company where you can make decent money if you work hard.

Pros

Good products. Fantastic colleagues, diversity and office location - free food. You'll do ok, if you're in the clique.

Cons

Despite having 6k employees, Freshworks behaves like a 10 person start up. Rules are changed continually during the year, targets are changed every quarter. Accounts are continually reassigned every 6 months and this annoys customers greatly. FW seem to want to make it very difficult to achieve quota and make your salary. They brag about having $1B in cash in the bank but continue to fire employees at all locations - only to turn around 5 mins later to say they are hiring. Morale is low. Upper management are completely disconnected and living in their own world (their idea of a pep talk is to scream 'step up' into people's faces). Middle management are clueless, patronising micro managers who do nothing but laugh at you when you have issues. Billing and customer data behind the scenes is a complete mess. 99% of your time is spent doing admin, looking for contracts or battling the billing team (who are incompetent). Spreadsheets are gospel, until a new sheet is dropped on everyone with instructions to fill it in immediately. Very short term thinking, the culture is dying. Avoid.

Pros

Some nice people Free food in office

Cons

Products: Immature, buggy, look pretty but let’s be honest are inferior to competitors. Admin: A complete nightmare. CRM is woeful and you spend more time fighting internally with getting things done/approved than you do actually selling. - Account allocation: The biggest joke in history. You can smash it one year and have all your good accounts taken off you and given to others with no explanation. - Favouritism: The UK office is particularly bad. Sales “Director” hands everything to his bum chum whilst totally ignoring others. How he became a Director is beyond ridiculous when he has no Enterprise experience and is younger than most of the team. - Leadership - the most incompetent ‘blind leading the blind’ Exec and middle management team I’ve ever seen. - Strategy: Doesn’t exist. Chaotic mess desperately jostling for revenue quarter after quarter whilst shafting customers at renewal because that is the only way to make money.
