Pros

The residents are great! They are the ONLY reason I’ve stayed so long.

Cons

Cooperate doesn’t care about the employees or residents as they claim. It’s all about money to them. Our state survey at our facility said we were understaffed, but corporate won’t fix it since it’s not in the budget. They haven’t budgeted us for more help in 3 years. They complain when you have OT and complain about agency in the building. I got written up once bc management signed me up for a shift that I knew nothing about. When I didn’t show up I got my write up. How am I supposed to show up when I don’t know I was scheduled last minute? I also bought food for residents once because we didn’t have anything for evening snack and was threatened a write up for that. Sorry, but you have them eat at 4:30pm.... by 8 they are all hungry again....

Pros

Lots of potential. Smaller facility with great layout, so manageable in size. Some systems and processes and a little training could make a huge difference.

Cons

No real leadership in the building. Lots of turnover. No systems, processes in place. Training is non existent. Agency nurses greater than 70% currently, so the employees (who get paid much less than the agency nurse) are left with all the work agency nurses didn't do. Corporate comes in, and with little knowledge or information on current situations, attempts to fix things, which does nothing.
