Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Working Remotely so you can live pretty much anywhere.

Cons

My boss intentionally overloaded me with too much work. My boss would try to micromanage me on a consistent basis. This interfered with productivity and made it much more difficult to meet client deadlines. It was clear to me that my boss knew what he was doing. When dealing with clients, my boss would contradict me in meetings with clients, just to make himself look better than me. This caused harm to my relationship with clients and my boss tried to use this against me. In sum, Full Stack is a toxic work environment that I would not recommend to anyone. Stay away from this company.

Pros

Co-workers are very nice, and some of upper management is very nice as well.

Cons

They used to assign a balanced workload to employees, but now they are overloading everyone with clients. Overloading employees with clients means things get missed in the shuffle, and tasks get dropped. Having a good work-life balance is out of the question because you are always stressed with meeting deadlines. It's really too much at times -- working late into the night and on weekends. I believe upper management knows they are overloading everyone with too much work, but continue to bring on more clients to increase the bottom line. You can't really say anything because it will all be put back on you; they will insinuate that you need to manage your time better, or say that everyone has a lot of clients so you should not be complaining. If you don't have a more senior position, it's really the worst because you are essentially doing the MAJORITY of the work, and unfortunately, it's the ones at the lower levels that get the most overloaded with clients since the employees in senior positions feel that they should not have to deal with trivial daily accounting tasks, which actually comprise of 95% of the work. Also, I don't think career advancement is something that you should count on here. They benefit from keeping everyone in the same position that they were hired for. I know someone that was hired 6 years ago for one position and is still in the same position all these years later. I would have thought he would have been promoted by now, but unfortunately, no. It's really unfortunate because they are all really nice people, but it is what it is. Yes, it's a good place to learn, but your learning stops at some point and then when you want to advance or learn more, you are essentially unable to do so, because doing so would just create more work for you and you are already exhausted. So, you will pass up opportunities to learn or put them off for another day. It's really a shame.
