      Learned lots, supported well, good time had

      Pros

      Strong team culture throughout the studio. The design team was my biggest experience, lots of effort was put into helping us all achieve really great work and enjoy the process. I learned a lot about how to operate as a team. The company has a mature approach to operations and general running of the day to day stuff. Little drama. I was helped/encouraged to work in both studio locations, Sydney and London. Really ticked off a few life goals there.

      Cons

      Trying to be balanced but can’t think of any major negatives right now. Maybe lacking some of the resources a bigger company has, need to be more inventive.

      Incredible opportunities to solve complex problems across numerous industries. High employee wellbeing focus. Skilled and supportive teams/departments. Highly collaborative. Ideas are always discussed fairly and tested. Extremely high role autonomy for your work. Opportunity to grow. The company evolves constantly, and partners and owners are forward-thinking and open to any feedback on how to make the business work better for everyone. The company is transparent with all employees, regular all-staff sessions are held to communicate positions, concerns and opportunities.

      Cons

      As a consultancy, it is naturally hard to have long-term ownership of the products and services you work on.

      Pros

      I really enjoyed my time at Mentally Friendly. The team is super talented, passionate and I’ve made some friends for life there. The process is very autonomous, so you get complete ownership of your work. You’ll have the opportunity to work on big name clients from day one and will learn heaps on the way. Highly recommend if you’re passionate about product.

      Cons

      No major negatives. The structure around career progression is fairly improvised, which is to be expected from smaller studios.
