Pros

I get along well with the people I work with.

Cons

Low pay, not competitive. This company doesn't allow equal opportunities for all employees - for example, some employees get to work remotely a lot more frequently than other employees, who only may be allowed 1 day to work from home. Expects their employees to make "sacrifices" to get work done, even if it means working through the night, not getting sleep and taking time away from their families. There was a department in particular that was recently working at all hours of the night to get work completed. It was very disturbing in the recent company meetings how people were "cheering" these people on, like it was a good thing to overwork the employees in this department, expecting them to work over 40 hours and risk their well being and time away from their free time and families. These people deserve so much more than some "high-five" job well done. They don't deserve to be overworked.

Friendly Company With Potential

Pros

Givelify has the most friendly, caring people--especially on the customer success side. By far, everyone in the company, top to bottom, genuinely care for their co-workers. There's also a real desire to do good for the people that use the service.

Cons

The engineering team has lots of potential, but very disorganized execution. There is a real lack of respect for established software development principles and security practices. In addition, mid management has a tendency to blame their staff for the results of the manager's own mistakes and shortcomings.

Pros

Givelify helps non-profits and churches

Cons

There's very little to no work/life balance. Employees all seem overworked and stressed. During my time here I have never heard the company or president say that he cares about employees well being and I've seen no actions taken to improve employees' work/life balance and overall wellness. Also, company is helps non-profits, but never does any company volunteer days with it's employees. All employees are also expected to work weekend support with no pay or any other incentive to compensate time spent working on a weekend. Company never asks for feedback from it's employees on how the company can improve overall employee wellness.

Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed to learn that your experience has not met expectations. We have invested in engaging professionals whose role will be to engage talent by elevating the employee experience. We are proud to offer paid PTO for those who seek to serve the community as part of our standard benefits. Recently, our engineering team took a day during their conference to serve in a local food bank--we plan to do that type of team building a whole lot more. We also afford employees the opportunity to work remotely as a standard practice to promote work/life balance. Finally, we are looking forward to our first employee feedback survey and action plan in the very near future. We encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas on ways we can improve the employee experience.
