Strong solution with great promotion opportunities

Pros

Global-e is by far the strongest solution in the cross-border eCom space. The solution is well built, with the worlds biggest brands on board to support it. Within company structure, leadership prioritizes internal promotion above hiring externally, which gives all employees an excellent path forward to promotion.

Cons

As the company is so large, there can be more processes to follow / red tape to manage. Overall, necessary processes keep everyone working together and aligned so I wouldn't report that as a heavy "con"

Pros

- Hybrid work environment with 2 days mandatory in office - Free snacks

Cons

- Limited to no promotion opportunities - Unpaid on-call 24/7 support - Bellow inflation pay rises - Handful of RSUs every 3 years if you are lucky - Expected to work long hours and weekends to meet deadlines with no reward or recognition

Heavy micro-management and stifling internal politics at all levels

Business outlook

Pros

The company offers good benefits and has some very talented individual contributors. The core technology/product is interesting, and there are opportunities to work on large-scale projects if you can navigate the environment.

Cons

The culture is heavily impacted by micro-management that flows from top leadership down to middle management. There is a lack of trust in employees' professional autonomy, requiring constant oversight on even minor tasks. Additionally, internal politics are very prominent and often take precedence over professional excellence or logical decision-making. This creates a draining environment, leading to high burnout and slowed execution.
