      Good hospital overall; some questionable management/employees

      Pros

      -overall really dedicated medical staff, many of whom were part of the community they served -beautiful area of OR with tons of outdoor activities -good pay in comparison to other areas within the state

      Cons

      -significant small-town mentality -overtly hostile to medical staff members who move from outside of Eastern Oregon -several departments suffer from intra-departmental bullying without any action from management -terrible IT department - using any sort of technology at all is beyond most of these people

      People and patients I interact with are great. LOVE my job when it comes to them.

      Cons

      Managers hand-picked all too often from within and without adequate competency for the roles they are filling. Managers "manage" clinicians rather than support. Culture of "NO" vs Culture of creativity. "Excellence" touted in a slick brochure does not reflect the reality on the ground. Retaining clinicians is weakness as recruiting successes are praised.
