Pros

The company does great work all around. All employees are eager to assist in any way if you need help. Management is friendly and interested in our well-being, especially during COVID times working from home. It’s rewarding to see our results from working with the communities. The company is growing at a steady rate.

Cons

No negatives at the moment.

Pros

PTO is a lot more gracious than other places. Most of your coworkers are some of the brightest people you can work with. Great location for restaurants and places to work out during lunch.

Cons

Micro Management Central. Upper Management is very secretive about status of company and employee opportunities as well as the general operation of the company. Senior Management only promotes from within their small inner circle. Large disconnect from the working class of employees and the ones who make the decisions. Very minimal if any payraise at all. If the President and VP’s don’t like you for personal reasons it’s safe to say you won’t go far here. Outside the circle of upper management the tenure is 5 years or less. That speaks volumes. Many of my coworkers are actively applying for jobs elseware as our contributors are not valued.

Pros

Gain experience with the biggest Texas state community development grant writer and administrator working across the state. Lots of work with Low Income Tax Credit Housing projects, too. Educated and experienced staff. Office is casual.

Cons

Work is under constant high pressure. The stressful environment can lead to friction between staff members. The owner is crude and an ass--and would not dispute that description. The atmosphere at the firm will never change.
